Let's talk about three types of businesses I'd avoid.

First, gyms. They often open and close quickly. The high failure rate makes them a risky investment, and who wants to risk losing their hard-earned money?

Next, dessert businesses. Like gyms, they can be unpredictable. Today it’s frozen yogurt, tomorrow it’s macaroons. It’s hard to keep up with changing trends in sweets.

Lastly, businesses based on short-lived technology. Remember the eBay drop-off franchise? It was popular until eBay changed its model, making that business obsolete.

So, if you're thinking about starting or buying a business, choose carefully. Not everything that looks good will last.
