With 2/3's of the season down & Dexter: Resurrection gearing up for a second season, Andrew & John CONTINUE their Dexter Season 4 Reaction, Recap, Commentary, Breakdown, & Spoiler Review!

Andrew Gordon & John Humphrey react to Dexter Season 4, Episodes 9–12, the shocking and unforgettable conclusion to one of TV’s greatest seasons. Starring Michael C. Hall (Six Feet Under, Gamer) as Dexter Morgan, this Showtime classic follows a forensic blood spatter analyst for the Miami Metro Police Department who moonlights as a serial killer targeting other murderers.
Season 4 raises the stakes with the arrival of Arthur Mitchell, aka The Trinity Killer, played by John Lithgow (Third Rock from the Sun, The Crown), in a career-defining, Emmy-winning performance. As Dexter attempts to balance his double life as a husband, father, and killer, his cat-and-mouse relationship with Trinity becomes a masterclass in tension, manipulation, and psychological unraveling.
The supporting cast includes Julie Benz (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel) as Rita Morgan, Jennifer Carpenter (Limitless, The Exorcism of Emily Rose) as Debra Morgan, James Remar (The Warriors, Django Unchained) as Dexter’s adoptive father Harry, Lauren Vélez (Oz, Ugly Betty) as Captain Maria LaGuerta, and C.S. Lee (Chuck) as the quirky forensic tech Masuka.
Iconic and highly searched moments from these episodes include Dexter tracking Trinity through the suburbs, Arthur’s chilling Thanksgiving dinner, the suspenseful rooftop confrontation, and the devastating finale twist that changed TV forever. Blending crime drama, dark humor, and psychological horror, Dexter Season 4’s ending remains one of the most haunting and talked-about moments in modern television.
