The Center removed the Rs 6 per litre tax it had put on gasoline exports at the beginning of the month when crude prices started to decline amid worries about a recession. Diesel and aviation turbine fuel export taxes were reduced by Rs 2 per litre from Rs 13 and Rs 6 per litre, respectively, on July 1.
