India has two kinds of customers…

The first has a surplus of time but a dearth of money…

And the other has surplus money but a dearth of time.

If you want to cater to the first segment, you’ll have to be in the business of low margins and high volumes.

And for the second, the game is in higher margins and lower volumes.

The strategy to winning in the first is through a phenomenal distribution…

And the factor for success in the second is a solid brand.

Both strategies take nothing less than 4-5 years of incessant effort to make even the slightest dent in the market… and are hard in their own way.

But quite like your drinks, don’t mix the two… but choose the hard you like.
