If you want to increase your profit margin, the easiest method is to get your product, whatever it is, as cheap as possible. Our product is houses, so in order to get a good discount, we go after houses with problems. That problem could be the condition of the house or the personal financial situation of the seller. It's our job to determine what those problems are and the true need of the seller. If we can take care of those problems for them, they're more willing to sell to us for a lower number. Just throwing money at the seller and leaving them to solve their own problems is a disservice to them.
