What is Share buyback?
This video is starring Bittu and Bittu ke papa who has recently learned how to invest in share market and still he doesn’t know how to make profit in stock market. But somehow he has started investing as his son Bittu keeps insisting him.

Bittu’s father lost money in the stock market as he invested in the shares of “ Russian Paints “ used as a clone of Asian Paints stock, through stock market tips which Tony gave him.

Then Bittu comes to him with an exit strategy in which his father will be able to sell off the stock at a higher price.
This exit strategy came into existence due to the share buyback.

Later on Bittu tells his father share buyback meaning and share buyback procedure along with share buyback tax.

Share buyback is a corporate action that companies take when their outlook towards their share price is different from the investors. It implies that the management feels that their share price is undervalued.

So in this scenario, the companies buy back their shares from the investors at a price higher than the market price. This decreases the supply of shares in the market which in turn increases their demand along with the price.
